Hi, I’m Vanessa Hutchinson-Szekely, founder of Big Belly Breathing 🌟

With nearly 25 years of experience as an educator and holistic health advocate across LA and San Francisco, plus my deep French roots from Haute Savoie (La Yaute!), I created Big Belly Breathing to share my passion for mindfulness and wellness. My mission is to empower people of all ages to embrace mindfulness with joy and make well-being a fun, accessible part of everyday life.

At Big Belly Breathing, we offer vibrant, easy-to-follow resources — podcasts, courses, journals, printables, guided meditations, stories, and mini health lessons — that blend seamlessly into your daily routine. Designed for children, teens, and adults, our resources make mindfulness simple and enjoyable for everyone, no matter where you’re starting from.

Think of it this way: just like we learn to brush our teeth when we’re young to prevent cavities and gum disease, learning mindfulness routines early on helps us take care of our mental and emotional health.

By building these habits: we can better manage anxiety, stress, focus issues, and mood swings while boosting our energy, creativity, confidence, and overall joy.
